superchip and egts
anyone out there got a superchip programer and a boost gauge?? i have them and would like to know how hot the egts are. i have my pyro mounted in the driver side exhaust manifold by #7 cylinder. unloaded i run at 600 and 65. my 92 runs much cooler than that. just wanting to know what others are getting. my chip is set at tow performance, but i getthe same egts with the tow safe mode to.

I have a 2003 CC Lariat 4X4 7.3 auto with the SCMT 1705. I ran it for a year without gauges on the middle (perf tow) setting. After gauges, I see a max of 24 lbs. of boost (26 with WG disconnected). I have since hooked it back up as fuel mileage went down. EGT's- cruising at 70 mph- 650. On a full pull to 100 mph, EGT's barely go over 1200 and then slowly drop. I have no clue why they drop, but they do. I even tried the highest setting. EGT's are about the same, although they climb faster. I found the middle setting to be the fastest. I towed an 86 Lincoln MARK 7 on a car trailer and lowered the tuner to the lowest setting. EGT's never hit 1200. I will tow on the middle next time as I didnt feel it had the nuts to tow good enough for me on the lowest setting.
