How about owning a PSD just because I LOVE IT! I don't own a 5th, don't use it for work, it's just a nice a$$ truck to drive whenever I feel like being KING of the road.
I would have to agree with you on that, I think if I did not need it for work I would still buy the exact same truck just because they are so awesome. Although, next time around I am going with crew cab long bed instead of ext. long bed.

100% agreement with you on that... however, you really can't truly appreciate the POWER and capability of these mules until you tow something big up a big hill..! THAT is when you really feel like the King of the Road..! quite frankly i'm impressed EVERY time my mule pulls the 10k lb 5ver up a hill on the highway at speed WITHOUT shifting out of overdrive..! WOW..!
I really wanted to participate in the poll, but it didn't quite cover me. Mine isn't exactly a daily driver - I use a company truck much of the time, and when the wife and I go somewhere, we usually take her gas-miserly Civic.
I originally bought my truck because I needed occasional 4wd use when on the job, but didn't have a company truck at that time. I have had Toyotas and such before, but after having one totaled, and another stolen (twice), I decided to get what I've wanted for a looooooong time - a diesel.
The F250 (or Dodge/Chevy equivalents) is a larger truck than I need, but the smallest available in the US that has a diesel engine.
After getting it, I have found that it gets slightly worse in-town mileage than my 4-cylinder Toyota (Ford 14-15mpg, Toy 15-16mpg), and better on-highway mileage (Ford 20+, Toy 18+).
I also find that I LOVE the feel of the big torque-monster 7.3. Daily driver? No. Toy-hauler? No. Work? Sometimes. Pleasure? Always!!
I myself race quads so I do alot of crosscountry travel with thoy hauler...Well I did sold trailer and looking for a reg 4 door P-up..
damn dude! i was looking at your gallery....those are some sick V-forces! are all three of those yours? that is alot of money tied into them, guessing $20k a piece!? the favorite is the snowmoquad.. gotta love it.
I transitioned out of an '89 F-250 with a utility bed. The bed was full of tools and parts, and the 250 had a 302 and automatic. I had to downshift just to make it up mild grades on the Los Angeles freeway system. Absolutely gutless!
The entire time I drove that truck I kept swearing that my next one would have torque to spare.
