The IDM is in the upper driver's side of the engine bay, to the right & forward of the brake booster. It's an alum box mounted on it's side.The IDM fires the injectors when the PCM tells it to.

Hey read your owners manual and it will tell you never to spray water onto a hot diesel engine!

I don't think anybody said hot. I believe they all mentioned warm.

OK whatever, go ahead and crack your head or block or manifold as you cant tell exactly how "warm" or hot every engine part is. But i have a steam pressure washer so i dont have to worry, I can clean it cold.

you can you know maybe put your hand on the engine and see how hat the block or manifolds are and then spray away.
any body have any luck with oven cleaner here. i bought some and used it and couldnt tell the difference.

Does that thing work good? I am thinking about renting one for a weekend and doing everything at once.
