I have an 87 F150 with 300ci I6. It seems to be running well, but the mpg are a little low (16 highway, 10 city). So I thought I would follow the instructions from fordfuelinjection, com to read the memory. I connected my DVM, with continuity check selected, and turned on the key (not the engine). I received a series of beeps. I got some paper and jotted down the beeps.
(A 1 signifies a beep, a space indicates a pause)
111111 1111111 111111 1111111 1 111 11 111 11
So I assumed this meant 67, 67, 32, 32
So according to the chart,
67 = Neutral Safety Switch Failure
32 = EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.24 volts
Is this correct? If so, what the heck is the EVP ?
