Yet I do it all the time on my g/f's subcompact (97, 120,000 miles) and all of my private cars since '83 when I was taught how to shift clutchlessly as soon as I'd taken my CDL....and the Volvo heavy truck trannies (96,000# gross in Europe) are synchro too and I've NEVER replaced a single synchronizer, nor been into the case on ANY transmission.
