OK I'm not comuter savy. I just got xp2000 installed on my computer, and I noticed I have to move the mouse further than before to get the arrow to move the same distance, in other words I can move the mouse right across the pad and the mouse only moves halfway across the screen, I have to keep picking up the mouse and relocating it on the pad. Can this be changed?
In the control panel there are mouse settings. Look for the icon with the ... well, mouse on it. I think it is its own setting, but it may be coupled with the keyboard.
Anyhow, take a look in there. There are slider bars that you can play with to adjust sensitivity, thats what you want i believe. Hope this helps.
OH...and since this is a fresh install, and its win2k, i think you need to manually do windows update the first time. Make sure you get all those updates. Do it, let it install, restart, do it again, get the rest, restart, and then check once more.
Open up control panel,
open up mouse,
Click on the pointer options tab,
Top of the box is Motion, increase the pointer speed to fast.
That should fix your problem.
