I found a 75 f150 with a rebuilt 390 with only 2000 miles on the motor and 6000 on a rebuild tranny. The kid wants $750. or best. He hit the ditch and bent the frame. I'm going to check it out this spring and maybe pick it up. If not fixable I can sell the parts, like the motor and trans or use them to fix my 78 3/4 that I blew last year.
Man today I found a 1920's Model A truck in this guys place. He said he won't sell it but would be willing to trade for something he could use. He is a Ford nut and does restorations and rodding of cars for the rod and custom shows.
The front fenders and truck body and box were all there with the 4 banger and rad with crank. No front suspension. It was sweet walking around his place seeing the old iron he had. He has lots of 20' and 30's and 50's car bodys. I saw so much potential.
He was currently working on a 54 Ford 2dr customline coupe. It was a pretty solid car. Also working on a 38 Ford 2dr and a 56 ford panel truck. I met him today by selling him the back half of a 54-56 panel truck body. He needed the lower sheet metal.
He has a couple of ragtops that were pretty parted out. There was a 57 rag that he chopped the back off and made a couch out of it. The car was in a serious accident that pushed the motor under the firewall. The engine was still in the car.
There was a Diamond T truck and old Hudson truck, A couple of good body ****** wagons from the 50's. There was too much. I plan to see if I can see these vehicles when the snow is gone.
Oh he had a 1928 chev 2dr coupe hanging from his ceiling that he chopped and lowered.
Heres the kicker he is 8 miles from the city and this stuff is hidden near a highway. Cannot see it though.
