53 Ford, Short Bed Pickup Hot-Rod

Hi All:
Need your opinions on this one. Found a 53 Ford Pickup, super straight body, has GM Front Clip installed, (nice job), V8 Pontiac Engine, 4bbl carb, power steering & brakes, TH350 Trans, Tilt Front End, (Done very neat using original front end sheet metal). Paint starting to flake in a few spots, some light surface rust in these spots but nothing serious but truck will need paint. All glass good, running boards good also. Needs headliner. Tilt wheel installed. This is a Hot-Rod Truck but all stock in appearance except for mag wheels. It's sitting in a barn, owner lost interest in truck. This is a running truck.

Need your estimates on what you think this might be worth as described????? Have a chance to buy and would like your input.

THANKS. Look forward to your replies ASAP

Lost intrest? How long has it been sitting in a barn? If it all works great this guy may want alot, but can't really give an estimate.

41CLAY:

It's been in the barn to keep it out of the weather. Been there 2 years approximately.

I'm talking "under" $1900 for the truck with misc extra parts.

Seem fair??

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Oct-02 AT 01:15 AM (EST)]Uh...sounds like a terrible deal. Tell me where this "barn" is at and I'll help this guy out taking it off his hands for $1899.99!

Seriously, I can't see the truck, but the way you described it, it sounds like a good deal Heck if you decide not to buy it let me know, I am always looking for a reason to skip a mortgage payment. Just remember that a deal that looks too good probably is, and double whatever your "in the head" estimate is to get the dang thing roadworthy....trust me on that one...cuz I have been there.

Peace.
