On my 90 Bronco i have some play in my steering, when going straight i can turn the wheel maybe an eighth of a turn or so without it moving the truck. Anything i shoud look for immedietly? Thanks
You can use the sector shaft adjuster screw to remove play from the steering, but like the other reply said.....you MUST eliminate any other items that are worn FIRST.....then if there is still play.....give the adjuster like 1/4 turnCW and see how that is.....????
that adjustment screw like streetgang said must only be turned and tightend in small amounts. test drive it an see if that helps. otherwise you can cause the steering box to bind and lock up on you which could be bad if your driving in town for instance.

Exactly.....also you need to try it at like 1/4 turn intervals....after each time you move that adjuster, lock it back down and drive the truck. You will know its too tight when after a turn the steering wheel does not return to approximately 90% of straight on its own.
