Hi guys. It's a 94 Bronco 5.0. When the car is running, there is a sound coming from the back (outside and underneath). It sounds like a small electric motor. Any ideas? Thanks.
Sounds like the electric fuel pump inside the tank. You can allways hear it, but when it gets really loud, it's a good indicator that it is going out......soon. Don't wait too long to change it out like I did, went on a 1100 mile road trip and it went out on me 50 miles from my destination.
i wouldnt worry about it till you dont hear it anymore. if you want to replace go to ford and buy the whole pump/sender/float assembly. this way you take care of anything that could possibly fail down the road.
Ok I'll wait and give it some more time. I have seen a little play in the gauge. I revved up the engine and it jumped around. That only happened once that I saw, so I'll wait on that and buy some fun stuff instead. Good idea on replacing the whole unit. Thanks guys.
