Needing new brakes!!

Needing to start thinking about replacing the rotors and pads, who makes the best ones?

if ya got an 04/05 sd, then get prepared for a shock!!! dealer list for my 05 fronts where 362 cdn, and the rears where 396, just for the pads!!!!!!!!! rotors when well over the 300 mark EACH!!!! yup cdn prices but WHEW for warranty.. had a squeal they couln`t diagnose, so the service tech just changed them all out, fixed the squeal but his manager blew a gasket, well over a $1500.00 warranty claim, not bad for only 1100 kms. hehehe i would seriously look at apa, or the new sts-systran pad, as they are low dust emmitters, and work great for towing! high heat diss-apation.

I paid $850.00 for just the pads on my 01 F-250.

if you paid 850.00 just for pads you got taken. they are only 60.00 a set 120.00 total.

the pads are 55.00 a set
the front rotors are 48.00 each the rears are 55.00

The last time I did pads they were about $35. I did front pads on a 03 S-10. 2 Dealers wanted $200. I about passed out. For a 95 Astro, they were about $6-$7 buck more than chain parts stores.
