muffler question
this may be a stupid question but does anybody know the law in ohio about having mufflers on trucks? and if you do need mufflers, how do people get away with straight pipes? can you actually get a ticket for "disturbing the peace" for too loud exhaust?

I've been cited for loud exhaust before.I've also been cited for having cherry bombs instead of regular mufflers.My 93 f150 doesn't even have a muffler on it since it is so quiet with 2 cats.I never got a ticket on my harley and never had baffles in the pipes.Oh yeah,I live in NE OH.

I don't think there is a law, I live north of cinci in Mason Ohio and my 302 sounds great with the muffler cut off. I have had it that way for a while and my two friends with 96 302s have the same and we never have problems with cops.
