Do basic Turbo Mufflers sound anything like Flowmasters??
I was thinking about getting a exhaust kit from LMC Truck....it runs from your stock maifolds into Turbo Mufflers or Glasspacks, and then out the back for only $180....i dont want the glasspacks because they dont give you the deep tone that i want and they always have that popping sound...so ive decided to go with the turbo and the ad said that the turbo mufflers give you the deep tone but do they sound anything like flowmasters????
and another question how loud would they be????

I beg to differ. Turbo's seem to be pretty mellow below 3000 or so rpm's, but when you open up a can and romp the throttle, they sound pretty mean.
Course..I like glasspacks. If I ever get in trouble for how loud my truck is, I'll probably put turbo mufflers on it so I can put around town and not wake people up quite as much.

To answer your question, no, they sound NOTHING like a flowmaster. Not even close. Also, some turbo mufflers (like Dynomax's race(y) stuff) is quite loud, but sounds great. Much better than the cheapo $20 turbo mufflers.
