seat change

I have a 79 F100 with a c6 tranny with the large "hump" on the floor of the cab. I'm looking at changing the bench seat to a later model and was just wondering if the seat would be compatible. If so, would I have to connect the older mounts to the new seat, or would the new mounts bolt into the holes for the original seat. Please reply ASAP if possible. Thanks

I believe any Ford Truck seat up til 96 will fit, as long as you use the original seat rails.

I just went through this on my 69 and Sparky is correct anything up to a 96 will work. You will have to swap your rails onto the new seat.
