I have a 91 f-350 diesel. I'm having a problem with oil in the colloing system. I ruled out the tranny fluid leaking into the radiator, it's motor oil for sure.
Doesn't appear to be a head gasket, as I have no steam or smell, no signs of water in the oil either. Does this sound like an oil cooler problem. ?
Truck starts easy and runs well, but runs warmer than it used to do to the oil in the cooling system.
Thanks for the help. Any tricks on getting to the mounting bolts on the oil cooler?
Make sure to drain the coolant or you will be in for a green bath. When i did mine i let the engine mount go and jacked the engine on that side, took the cooler off in one piece, some here have done it without jacking and removed it in 2 pieces.Through the wheel well was the easiest way i found to get to the bolts.Mine was all in vain, grabbing at straws, ended up being cavatation, good luck.
