I was wondering if you could make more power if you bypassed the valve and let it run out into the air, instead of having the crancase vapors going into the engine. What do you all think?
The bypass would make no change on power or might actually drop the power very slightly.
The oil vapor is burned completely in the engine, motor oil contains more BTU's per gallon than diesel does. To much motor oil in the combustion chamber actually lifts the head off the head gaskets and causes head gasket failure.
Plus the cloud of oil vapor is not something the EPA likes to see.
