Lets see if I can breath some life back into this thread. Well you guys seems to have an idea on this topic. I have a 04 with the 6.0 in it and I have everything installed for my flame kit. I have propane injection with a rlrctric valve running it. I'm getting good spark and good gas flow, problem is no ignition. I can lite it with a hand torch (watch the eye brows) but not by spark. I tried it with the truck off even, still no luck. I'm going to try injecting a little air into the mixture after work tommorrow. But if anyone has any ideas please do share.

Propane needs a lot of air to ignite. You're on the right track.

Well I tried running air threw the system..... but still no go. I tried adjusting the valves on each just to see if I could get it to go. Still will lite with the torch, and man it's cool at 1500rpm or so. Looks like a big torch, but that doesn't do me any good if I can't lite it from the cab. Is there anything else I could use besides a spark plug?. And I can't get the spark plug out any farther or it'll be in plan sight.

Can you ignite with a spark plug at the end of the tailpipe? Try just grounding one at the end of the pipe. if this won't do it then you may need to have an array of spark plugs or something else. At least you can narrow it down. How does the spark look like on the coil? Did you try opening up the gap on the spark plug to make more place to ignite the gas? Maybe one of these will help.

Sounds like you are running too rich down where the spark plug is.

Ya I gotta be careful or moving. As for that I'm going to redo the exhaust and dump it out the rear. I'm also working on another system for the truck. If it works right I'll have one tank that starts the flame and the second tank will be high pressure propane. I want a 15 ft flame :P

Nice. What did you end up doing to get it to work?

It was working all along, just had to do it right. bring the rpm's up and let it fall and it lites. I was trying to do it with the rpm's up at first. Only bad thing is the exhaust is big so it like a big ball of fire (it does stay lit) I'd like a way to blow a 15ft flame for shows and so on.
