I was able to cut my rotors sucessfully with a Sawzall and the wide blades that are made specifically for cutting 1/4" thick steel. I could only make about two cuts per blade.
Anyone looking for front slotted cross-drilled rotors for 97-99 expy should check out ebay. A company, 99centnoreserve, is selling a product made by Toucan Industries. You can get them for about $50/pair including shipping. I put a pair on two weeks ago w/ some new ceramic pads. They look and perform great!
The blades I used were made by Milwaukee, available at Home Depot. they are about double the width of the standard hacksaw blade. I used one blade for each rotor after I figured out what I was doing. Do a search of some of my past posts around Nov or Dec of last year in which I explained how I finally got the rotors off.
