Does your truck still have the EBPV installed? If you eliminate the sensor you'll also need to disable the valve itself. Do this by disconnecting the small two wire plug at the base of the turbo pedestal.
Yes it does, I have the exhaust brake mod. I was just hoping to eliminate the P0476 code because of the debate of it causing defueling or not. So now I don't know which code would be better the P0472 or the P0476? Thanks for your imput.
If the Check engine light comes on...it's defueled, but that doesn't mean what most people think it does. The PCM doesn't have the capacity to simply pull fue untl the engine quits, it simply selects the lowest fuel table from the five or so preset tables written to it.
If you are not truck pulling or drag racing it, then defueling is not that big of a deal...unless the light is bothering you.
Does the brake mod still work with the EBP sensor eliminated?
The light haas never came on. I just use my truck as a driver and to pull my 5th wheel. The switch I bought is "supposed" to eliminate the code from being thrown and not the switch, so I am assuming that the brake is still working although I have not driven it yet since I made the change.
