Question I have been troubleshooting a intermittent p0299 code. I setup my scanguage and koeo I am reading 14.3 on Map and EBP and BMP. When I start the truck I get EBP of 22-23 Map goes to 15 and BMP is still 14.3
Does this indicate a bad EBP or just a clogged pipe? I just blew it out with a air blower. Also cat is deleted but still has stock muffler. Any thoughts?
Subscribed, I'm going to take mine for a run this weekend when I'm off work.ill be watching the turbo numbers, my truck sits quite a bit thinking the turbo might be sticking.
Are you sure it should be 3-4 at idle? I see a lot getting 16 at idle and that's what I get with a clean tube, new sensor, and straight pipe exhaust. Not saying you're wrong, just questioning my numbers.
Checked VGT tonight and mine is running 61 or 62 at cold start. Tonight the EBP was running 18-19. Ill check to see what runs when it warms up tomorrow.
Sorry, I should have explained better. Like 78fordman said.....
BMP/BAR, MAP and EBP all should be around 14.7, atmospherc pressure at sea
level. If your higher up, the number will change and does change with the weather. A storm coming could lower it, high clear skys make it go up.. but for the most part, 14.7 is about right.
At idle EBP should be about 3-4 above BAR/BMP or around 17-18-19. I've programmed my scan gauge and adjusted everything to 0, why my EBP reads 3-4 at idle.
Not sure if just air blown thru the tube will clear the build-up, I used a piece of weed whacker line and shoved it through while twisting the line.
