Trailer park light prob

I have 2002 S/D CC V10 SB Lariat. My trailer is a pace American cargo. For 6 months lights have been fine. Now it blows fuse #38 20 amp trailer parking in dash panel. sometimes after 2 min. sometmes after 45 min. I now have a 25 amp in because it was all I had left, and it lasted an hour. my trailer has a 5 prong flat plug. this plug is alwas wicked corroded. some one told me I should splice in a round plug and this won't happen. any input wouls help, thanks.

Does it do this with the trailer hooked up only? I assume yes. If so, you must have a short somewhere on the trailer.

Is this posted twice? You have a short in the trailer. Get under the trailer and follow the wires. A wire is pinched or has a bare spot.
