yet another lift question!
You will want a drop pitman arm, so that the angle between the drag link and the track bar remain the same, otherwise you get binding between suspension and steering components. Plus, the increased angle that the drag link is operating at will increase your turning radius. Like any of the SD's need to make bigger circles.
The actual lifts vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. It also depends if you are lifting with blocks, add-a-leafs, or all springs. The best thing to do is contact the specific manufacturer and see what their measurements actually are.
Most of them are the same kits for the 250's and 350's, the difference is when you specify diesel and get the heavier springs, but the amount of lift is usually the same.
If you don't want anything radical, just do a 3.5" leveling kit and you'd be all set. For a 350, this would sit you nice and should clear 35's.

Lots of choices...good luck!

Absolutely, get the 350 blocks with it. Make sure you get the u-bolts as well.
If not, just get a 2" level and you'll clear 33's real nice.
Here's some food for thought to help you out. Page 2 has a some comparison pics.

I figure I'll just continue this thread, rather than start another.
I have a 04 F250 6.0psd. I just ordered BFG 315/75/16 and 16x10 MT wheels.
can I get away with 4" blocks and a leveling kit ? or do I need a complete 4" suspension lift?
thanks in advance

"As far as tire sizes. Some guidelines to look at with these trucks are.
Leveling kit works good with 33x12.50's.
4" works good with 35x12.5's, but you have to get wheels with a backspace of 4 1/4 to 4 5/8 or you will have some rubbing issues. Also, this is okay for light off-roading, but if you wheel it hard get the 6" for 35's
6" works good for 36x12.50's or 35x14.50's. Again, the backspacing is crucial with the wider tires.
8" works good up to 38x13.50, but is best on 37's for wheeling."
what i got from this is get the 3 1/2" leveling kit and throw a 4 inch block on the back and 35" will fit fine.

Can you do it? Sure! The only problem with that is you would have to piece together some components to acheive the end state.
4" lifts w/ blocks are relatively cheap. I would look at a few of the 4" lifts and compare some prices. You might be surprised by what you get for the price of a whole kit.
For 4" of lift, check out a Superlift setup and you should be all set.
But yes, a front leveling kit w/ some F350 blocks and u-bolts in the back would do you just fine. Just make sue you get a 3.5" leveling kit or you'll still be nose down. 2.5" might rub a little with 315's.
