I have the autostart 300 bills installed.

Features 1: set the start delay up to 30 seconds
2: leave the truck running and take the keys out and you shut it off with the remote from a distance
3: set the cabin temp and when the temp inside falls below that temp the truck will startup and run for a predetermined time( good feature in cold climates
4: 1/4 mile distance with remote.

I too have a Viper 791XV waiting to be isntalled. I wanted to fix my power door locks first before I got the unit installed. I agree that with the wiring complexity and if you want the remote start function to only kick in when the "wait to start" light goes out, then get a shop to install. For me, for the alarm, door locks and hooked in to work with the "wait to start" light, installation will only cost me about $450 CDN, that give me some instllation warranty as well.

it was a christmas gift, but i think it was between $300 and $350, but that was 2 years ago... i do not recomend hooking the start to the "wait to start" light, as that light will go out after a short period of time but the glow plugs may still need more time to heat up... that light is just a reminder light.... i payed a little extra to have a 25 second delay installed... it simply waits for 25 seconds and then cranks the engine... if it is so cold outside that your psd needs more time than that, you should have plugged it in, or you need new batteries...! i have the "cool down" time set to 5 mins.... i use it EVERY time i shut down my mule... if i am towing in the summer heat i leave it running for 10 mins or so to make sure everything is cooled down before i shut it off... i know i know.... there are guys on here who say that you do not need to do that... but it's my mule and i'll treat her they way i think she needs to be treated... that means plenty of time to warm up before we go anywhere, and plenty of time to cool down after we get there... the remote starter is a great help in doing just that... they should have remote starts as standard equipment... jmho...!
