97 Explorer Transfer Case

97 Explorer Transfer Case
Please help,the transfer case on my 97 explorer xlt has destroyed itself and im having difficulty locating one here in England.The problem im having is matching up the serial numbers on the salvage ones with my own.Does anybody know if the transfer boxes from various years cross compatible.The numbers on my case are 4405-08 F77A-7A195GA.If anybody out there has one get in touch,im desperate !!!!!
