FYI.... the stock tailpipe on the 05's is 3.5".

Also, I did order a rarely talked about Dynomax Super Turbo muffler with 3" in/out and 3" interior flow tubes #17792. I got it from Summit for $70. My truck is in the dealer right now for some warranty work, including exhaust leaks at the manifold/head pipe junction and a falling heat shield above the muffler. For this reason I decided to wait until this work was done before making the swap. I didn't want the dealer blaming my aftermarket muffler for the leaks.

I agree, I have the FM 70 3 in/out and love the tone, especially at idle. Still doesn't have that V-8 sound, it sounds like a V-10, which is even better, especially after you get used to it.

heres a place to pick them up http://www.usdieselparts.com/MBRP/ca...TOKEN=10172635

my only concern is it says it fits 99-05 v10 trucks, and the exhaust systems on the 3v are a good bit different, they do both use 3" pipe though

i cant figure out what i want to do....i want it quiet inside the cab
but some tone outside would be nice

ahhhhhh im bangin my head against the wal

There are some sound clips up on their site to get a slight idea of the tone you'll get http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/sound.html

I asm seriously thinking about a Flowmaster 70 series for my 2006 V10....

I do have two concerns, however, that I hope someone can address...

First, I use the truck primarily for towing our 5th wheel rv, so I really do not want to give up any low end torque...this happened on other trucks I have owned, but I did not care because I was not towing and I loved the sound of the 40s...also, I want dual tailpipes, so shoud I go with the 3" in and the 2.25" out or the 2.5" out???

Second, I am concerned about drone in the cab....how bad is it on th e 70 series....

Thanks in advance for all your advice...
