If you want one that is really loud and tough sounding, get this one!! Be prepared to dragrace on the street and beat them. With this sound, you definitely will be embarrassed if you lose
Yes. Part #3030 for the V-10. I think it is a little too loud even for me now that I had the Y pipe installed. I wish I could try different mufflers to get the sound I am looking for. May put back the Magnaflow Straight Thru or try IMCO.
I went with the dynomax ultraflo weleded muffler 3" in and out, single outlet. I love it great sound not to loud improved throttle response. Cheak out www.dynomax.com for adealer nnear you. Summit to order on line. You wont reget it.
on the 05/6 the pipes for the 5.4 have the same part number as the v10 in the back of the truck. when i getting ready to do mine borrla said a 5.4 system would fit and work.
as to mine heades and a custom fm70 sound levels inside are what i can stand. out side it great, even under full load.
banks does right now have a cat back for the v10. but 649 dollars. my custom was only 350. so it's not stainless steel! gives me a need to change it down the line for the wife
Dynomax has a cat-back available now for the 05-06 V8, V10. Part # 19410. It's a Superturbo muffler with a single 3" tail pipe. About $250. Gibson has cat-backs available as well.
You dont need a whole cat back system it's allready 3 inch, just a muffler will do. A good shop will tell you this and not try to sell the whole system.
Speaking of mufflers and exhaust...does anyone with the V10 have a 3.5" or larger pipe from the muffler back installed? Just curious...and how it is working for you? Sound? etc...

I will go with the FM 50 next time. I mistakenly put on a straight thru muffler. It does have some tones I really like. But the droning at 60-70 mph drowns out even MY stereo, and it will make my ears bleed. It's not just volume of sound, it's tonal quality that us V10'ers have to consider also.
I have a fm70 on my '05 and at 1800-2100 rpm the drone will overpower the radio and rattle my fillings. I had a fm40 on before and the drone was just about 15db louder. However it sound good at all other rpm. The worst part is that rpm range is right in the crusing rpm band. On all our local roads where the speed is 50mph I get sick of the noise. At 55 and up It is not noticable. On my previous truck ('02 V-10) I had a fm40 with duals out each side and nevr experianced the drone, but I think that was because the 35's I had would sing louder
