Another Bed Question 56 F100

While doing the 1st assembly of my bed I have a question about the end cap which covers the rear end of the boards, just under the tailgate. The one I bought from NPD has a square hole on each end where the bed side and end cap overlap and these holes are filled with one bolt each. However there are two more square hole evenly spaced along the top of this cap which would require drilling a hole through the end of two boards as well as the rear xmember. Is this correct? or do I have the wrong end cap? Thanks

I think you have the correct sill strip for an original installation. I think the "extra" holes will hit the 3rd board in from each bedside. The crossmember should have the holes already there. I can't find any pics of this, so maybe someone can help you out there.
Good Luck,
Kent

The rear crossmember already has the two holes. I think you just add two more bolts you may have to drill holes thru boards, I don't remember how I did the last one and my wood isn't ready to be installed yet.
