Yahoo!!!! turns out it was the starter after all, I went and got one and when i pulled the old one off, the whole insides almost fell out of the darn thing. Thanks every one for all your help

I heard it today before we left, it was definitely the starter, and its definitely a different sound than the other one.......

the other one seems to have disappeared.
