2005 Excursion transmission question

2005 Excursion transmission question
I just purchased an 05 Ex originally sold 4/15/2005. 6.8 L. The code on the door placard for the tranny shows an E. The owners manual says there are two codes, one beign the E and that means the Torqshift 5 speed. I cannot find anywhere in the Ford brochures, this forum or any other searchs that this could be true. In older models the E on the placard seemed to indicate the E4OD tranny. I pick up the truck on Wednesday so I'll be able to crawl underneath and do more investigation.
The 'salesman' seemed to indicate that it also has the three valve engine. I know he is just a salesman. Any identifying characteristics that tell me if it is the standard 310 HP two valve or the 345? HP three valve.

The 2005 diesels have the Torq-Shift trans. The engines were the same as the 2004s.

more info tomorrow
I agree with all, under normal circumstances that is. But the placard says E under the tranmission. Every place I look on the web for Ford truck codes show the E means it is a e4od. This owners manual says E is the Torqshift, not the 4r100 nor the e4od. I would expect the owners manual would cover any possible tranny but if the Torqshift is identified in the manual as the E, and it even shows a picture of the placard so you know where to look, and the placard shows it as an E, could it be possible that this was some kind of late intro of the Torshift into the EX series? .
Had to travel on business so I am not picking the truck up until tomorrow.

Arrgh. Looks like I just screwed up. Sorry
Picked the Ex up. Reread the owners manual and realized I transposed the codes. E means 4r100 B means torqshift. Must have been the excitment with getting a new truck that night. I guess I wanted to see a torqshift. I had read they do put them behind the v-10 in the super duty so I just thought maybe???
Anyway, another weird issue - They gave me a Car fax report. Under ownership History it shows two owners, first in NJ on 4/15/05 and second in Virginia on 11/07/2005, but under the Types of owners there was no record of any of the 8 standard registrations. Personal, Lease, Rental, Taxi, Fleet, Commercial, Non-Profit, Built to non US standards. What else could it have been registered as military? Car manufacturer exec car or something like that?
When my dealer purchased it at auction on 11/23 it was 'Listed as a Manufacturer vehicle'.
Not a big deal, I just was curious.
