I was going to gut my ebpv, though I opt'd to set it up as an exhaust brake and I'm very happy with this choice. It not as instant as say an BD exhaust brake as we've got that on one of our farm trucks. But once it engages it works just as good as the bd brake for a fraction of the cost. I haven't had chance to try it with a load yet though.

 

I did that also, works good.

 

I gutted mine when I replaced the turbo and not long after the bottom freeze plug came out.Be sure to put a hose clamp around them once they're in place,wish I had.
