Is it a truck or a car?

It has more storage area than the f100 and I don't recall any others ever showing up at cruis-ins. It weighs 3750 pounds and cruises like a tank. The rear springs seem very stiff. I pushed down hard on the rear bumper and it barely moved! I may put flames on it so Dewayne will like it. This could be the start of a new movement! Jag

Jag,
I know the feeling, it's happened to me more than a couple times, but I can see one good thing about the deal falling through, it shows the guy cares more about his kid than the money. I don't know if that will help but if you can look at it that way maybe it can take some of emotion out of the deal. I remember reading a "For Sale" sign my dad posted for my truck when I was about that age. Now that I look back I'm sure my dad could have used the money but when he saw how upset I was he yanked the sign, he was that kind of guy. Fortunately, I was one of the first people to see the sign and he hadn't gotten any offers yet. That "Dad" moment has stayed me for over 30 years.

The seller swears that he has not gotten a better offer. He has left the door open saying that he will not sell it to anybody else without first offering it to me for our agreed upon price. He has bought another vehicle and needs the money, but does not want to upset his family life over it. (The vote was: him-yes, her-yes, son-no. Then she changed her vote because of the son.) So when I look at it that way, I do feel a little better. Maybe his son will learn to like the new truck even better and there will be a happy ending for all of us.
George, thanks for the official seal of approval. I do think that everybody would agree, once they saw it, that it would help class up the place a bit. Jag

Wow! I can see why you are hurt that he backed out of the deal, what a gorgeous car, er, uh, I mean sport utility
My son still grumbles at me for selling this old GMC 4 door truck that I had when he was a baby. Kids, they are funny.
We'll keep our fingers crossed that he changes his mind (again) and goes through with the deal. Who knows, maybe you'll get Christmas present

Sorry. Perhaps you will still get a chance down the road. Keep in contact with the owner or something.
Thats an interesting car. It would not be my choice to go look for one, but I would be proud to be seen in it. Its totally different from anything else on the roads now days. I love different!

Yea, that's the same one in Hemmings. He could not sell it there, so he took it to the huge Pomona Swap where I saw it. My price is way lower than his Hemmings price. I'm not sure that it's worth the money, but I sure like to look at it. Out of the estimated 2000 vehicles there, it was the standout of the bunch. The guy selling it seems like a nice honest person, so I hope he keeps his word. Jag
