we had an ice storm here two weeks ago. then it warmed up. now it's colder with a chance of snow. and Christmas day we're spose to be in the 70's.
this happened last year. we had 64 degrees, four days before Christmas, and it snowed several inches the next day. (it was prolly all gone by Christmas too)
yall think we don't know how to dress here in Texas, truth is we were told it was gonna be 70, but it snowed instead.
Ummm....just a tad too far south. I was thinking more in continental terms than planetary...lol
One of my best friends is a meteorologist...retired from the Air Force and now working for the National Weather Service. I've learned a few things about weather and forecasting from him over the years. I can tell ya this...it ain't easy trying to predict the future, especially when it's the future of an ever changing planetary atmosphere. He's always said that he's got the one job in which everyone expects you to be wrong. I'll say this though...I'll trust his forecasts before any of these TV weather people's.
I'm with you on that, I have found the NWS gets it better than most of the TV forecasters... You would think they would cohnsult the NWS forecast before broadcasting their own... Even the NWS uses 3 to 4 models and take an educated guess as to which will be right.
