switch out

how could i switch a automatic trans in an 91 4x4 ranger for a manual. also are body lifts worth the money, safety and durabilty wise. thanks.

Tranny type swaps are always the easiest with a donor truck but it is doable. With body lift you must remeber the the body goes up the the engine and fan stay put and if you lift it much, you may have issue with cooling because you have to remove shroud and also steering column and connection to steering box can be a issue with bigger body lifts. If you want to do it keep it at 2 inch or less for least amount of problems if you are new to this stuff.
