I crrently have a 2006 V10 on order. I drove the 5.4 standard cab and a 6.8 v10 super cab and the 5.4 didn't even have enough for the standard cab. The V10 was very good. You are right about the 6.0 diesel. pile of junk. 29,000 miles and I couldn't make it an oil change with out a major problem. Anyways, I don't know where you are located but in Morton Illinois they have the V10 in and XLT but not in a lariat crew cab that is why I ordered mine.

To me a 5.4 for a crewcab is underpowered, and im beginning to think the 6.0 is more than what I really need for power and price, not to mention there seems to be a lot of posts on problems for the 6.0.
I never see any v10s on a dealer lot, or on the internet when searching inventories?
WHY are the V10s so hard to find?
I want to drive one to compare it to a 6.0 but nobody ever has one.
The 6.0 forum is pretty much anti v10 and the V10 forum is pretty much anti diesel.
I have 4 dealerships within 75 miles, and not one V10 when I wanted to buy. I bought the *one* that came in. Called the dealership and bought it sight unseen, when it was still on the truck. That's the only way I could get one, unless I wanted to wait and order an '06. The nearest other V10, with 4.30 gearing, crew cab, was out of state.
same here. looking for 2002 or newer used, 4x4 supercab, manual, v 10. theres only 1 within 200 miles of me KY.
although I would prefer a v-10 and would not mind test driving a late model, 5.4 supercab, 4x4, manual either. but there are none of those used within 200 miles of me.
I ran a search for a Lariat Crew V10 in the entire state of Texas- the truck capital of the planet, and found a whopping three- count 'em- three units in inventory. None of them fit the color equipment profile- so factory order we go.

yeah, the 2005 and 2006 models with the H.O. V-10 and torqshift is really a sweet, sweet combo. when we went to order our 2000 V-10 back in 1999, the dealer said that the gas:diesel ratio (7.3 then) was 1:12. we now have two v-10's with NO problems to date, and a 6.0 with a history of problems, and a 1995 7.3 with a longer history of problems. of course they were both second-year models for the release of the engine.
dhawk57 is right. Its Woodhouse Ford in Blair,NE They have a ton off V-10s every style imaginable. Check there website out I think they have over 300 plus F-250s out in there inventory. A bunch off V-10s in that mix. If they dont have it nobody does.
San Diego Area, had to break out the calc to add up the 6.0 numbers. 5 dealers total. Looks like the 6.0's aren't moving very well.

No - that's just what they're stocking, along with everyone else. We've got 1 V10 and over 50 6.0's in stock.
ya. When I bought, I had to special order. It seems no dealer in canada, or the US had a red F-350 regular cab XLT with bucket seats, 6 speed and V10. The one V10 I found was an F-350 XL SRW cab and chassis with an auto, so thats what I had to test drive.
i saw my 99 xlt lariat4x4 suprcrew on ebay at a texas dealer,i made an offer of 14k he called back and we made the deal final, unreal at that time the trucks were fetching around20k here local.the v10 is awesome 14 mpg ,quiet ,and plenty of power.unless you tow daily i couldnt see why anyone would want the rattle trap,ha ha
