connecting rod #'s
can someone tell me if these are long or short rods? buddy needs some for a 390 and found these somewhere on the internet and asked me about them...

They are all short rods. Both the C3-C and C7-B came in large and small rod bolt and nut sizes also. The C3-C with large bolts were a 427 application and the C7-B's with large bolts were found in the 428CJ. Smaller bolt versions were found mostly in 390's. Some PI or HD engines have been found with the bigger bolt rods also. Most books will not list the difference.

FFR428, has a point on these c7ae-b rods and bolt sizes, i kinda found out the hard way, and naturally they have different torque specs for each bolt.
