There were only 2 lengths of rods used in FE's. Long rods are 6.54" and were used in 330's, 332's, 352's, 360's, and 361FT's. Short rods were used in 390's, 406's, 410's, 427's, and 428's. You want standard short rods. You've already got a set in the 390 that's in your truck.
If you want to have the new motor built before you pull the old one out of your truck, you'll need another set. I wouldn't pay more than $80 per set, since that's what they want at DSC. Go look through your friendly local junkyard.
