Having problems with the 7 pin on my truck. Seems the running lights (tail) have no power to the specific pin. Lights work fine on the truck. Stop, left and right turn plus electric brake are all functioning fine. Just don't have running lights. Any thoughts on problem. Having the same problem on the 7 pin on both an Explorer and F-350.. Thanks for any help you can provide...
I would check the wiring connections. If all the lights are fine but one. Or you can test the other prongs with the running lights on and see if a wire is swapped.
The factory setup uses a seperate fuse and relay for the trailer running lights (and for the backup lights too). Check that fuse and relay. Should be listed in the owners manual.

As previous noted, check the fuses on both rigs, should be 7.5A according to the book, I replaced mine with 10A when they blew. Not to increase current simply the fact that I had 10A mini fuses and did not have any 7.5A fuses. If the fuses on both rigs are in fact blown. You will want to check the trailer(s) that you have towed with both rigs. Sounds like you've got a short there some where blowing the fuses on your rigs.
