Overhead console readouts are dim

Anybody else run into this problem. The rest of my lighting works OK, but the temp and mileage readout on the overhead console are very dim. I've tried looking for some type of screws or clips to take the console apart, but there does not seem to be any. Does it just pop off?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

I won't know, but someone else might if you list your year and model truck.

My vehicle is a 1999 F250 7.3 powerstroke. My wife has a 2000 Explorer with basically the same type of overhead console. Her display does not seem to have the same problem as mine.

Actually at night the display is sort of OK (could still be a little brighter), but during the day time it is so dim it might as well not even be on.
