I was just curious how many of you have given your truck a name most guys I know do.My grandpa named his old henry I named mine moneypitt becasue its cost me so much.
Hey, don't make fun of us Bi's. I wouldn't be seen owning a piece of dodge, though. They run forever, but never worth a crud. My girl's F250 was "The Brown Trout" (it was a nasty shade of brown that the interior still sports,) but the girls named him Fang after she painted it white. He's got a pretty killer sound with the 460 and a set of glaspaks. It's a trip how women go wild for a hot sounding truck. Works for me, though.
Come on, Geez, dudes name everything. My buddy sees me slowly hoofin' up a hill with a trailer full of horses, and later tells me, "you need a bigger hammer to haul all them horses." Now my large diesel plow is called, "The Hammer", and it can pull the ponies!
Well that old F250 with the 460 used to make the fan belts chirp, so I started to call her "Cricket" for that reason. That was 21 years ago. The family all call her Cricket.
Right on, leo. That's the stuff life is made of. My buddy, Skippy, has a '6x Bronco named "Broncitis". He digs that sled. It is a rock crawling monster, but I think it's still wearing its original paint (what's left of it.) He did get a little girlie and pulled the granny 4-speed for an A4OD auto. He put a hot late model 5L stang motor in front of it. It rolls pretty good. I remember about 10 years ago being so sideways in a rut I could have touched the ground with my nose and would have still had my head inside the door. All he could do was giggle. He's a little crackers for the offroadies.
I have several names for my old '73. Depends on how it's running at the time! It goes from "Darlin' " when she's running nice, to "Piece of ___!" at other times.
OK...Its either the Phuzzy Navel (its my fav drink) or H II. (for Henry 2). My Dad has a 76 F-350 SCS that he has called Ol Henry since I was just a young buck. Like since 1976 when he bought it with only 10,000mi on it . Theres times I wish thes old trucks could talk....cuz there'd be some stories told!!!!
