This is an interesting thread.
I mud drag, and all the guys that I beat week in and week out (chevy guys) named my truck the Beast. I built a new truck and hotter engine that busted my budjet (including a credit card debt) so bad that I had to do something to make my wife feel like she had something to do with the truck, so I told her she could name it anything that she wanted and she could paint it on both doors.(What a MISTAKE!)
She said good, and went outside and painted the name on both doors, my chin hit my chest when I saw, Miss Take on my doors in big letters. I ask what she meant, she said that she takes all that we have to build her. I did'nt have the heart to tell her the truck was a he, not a she. My wife is my best friend and I was happy if she was.
It is a good thing with that name and the people that has made fun of it, that I did not lose a single pass all year (head to head) and finshed no less than third, with two first places in the upper class

I think that's an AWESOME name! So much could be read into it:
Miss Take the race, Take yo money, Take me home... The list could go on.

My Mrs. has called my truck a lot of things; most often "the other woman". Won't stick though, she's called her own car that.

Are you sure???? If it has to be difficult, if it has to be expensive, it has to be a female!

Ok, enjoy it as you will.
But a man has to do what he has to, in order to spend the money.
It is like the song by Johny Cash, A Boy Named Sue. You get tough or eat sh_t, and Miss Take done HIS job.
I guess I owe my wife for having to try so hard this year.

My truck is well named as the "BUS" which is short for Big, Ugly, and Stinky. Anything that can smoke like 20 old ladies at a bingo parlor and make a freight train take a dirt road will always have a place in my heart.
My 73 Bronco is just known as Death Trap 1 for good reasons, no floorboards, busted shockmounts, and an electrical system that hasnt been functional in close to 10 years. One of these days.................

I call mine whitey because its pearl white.

I've considered selling it from time to time but when you have a heart attack in a vehicle it becomes a very sentimental vehicle.

Once had a '78 F-150 with the 300 six and the OD manual tranny. It was orange and white and was the biggest vehicle
our family owned at the time. Called her "Big O". Great old truck but did a slow death due to the previous owner driving
on the beach and not hosing off afterwards. :-(

Sherman. Like that tank, I can thank my suster for naming him.. 1979 F-150. 300 I-6. One of these days I will post some pictures of him or it. Guess it could be a she, opposite of the Boy Names Sue. I learned to drive in this beast and now I own it. (I should have taken better care of it when we were both younger. (I have more cancer then Sherman.)

My ol 76 was named "Ruttz". my 73 was named "Ruttz The Second". Now my 74 is named "Ruttz The Third" or just "Ruttz" for short. They all lived up to their name on those rutty roads.
