Trying to siphon from my 96 Bronco. Getting resistance when putting the siphon hose into the fill neck. Can get it about 18-20inches then it stops? Should I shove it, or lube it?? I have about 28 gal in her and need for generator
Help please we are no go for fuel in SOFLA.
I'm just a "novice", but I think on the newer tanks, they put in "anti-Syphoning" contraptions in the filler neck near the top. The best way I know of is dis-connecting the filler tube from the tank and going in that way. I hope someone with more knowledge responds quickly for you.
Pull the fuel filter lower than the tank. I have been getting my generator gas from my Bronco with my electric fuel pump. It is not a stock set-up. However I am sure there is a way to jump the relay, dis-connect the fuel line from the fuel rail and have a self serve station in your driveway. I do not have a schematic in front of me. Yes I am posting this under generator power. Over 72 hours and counting, could be upto 4 weeks.

Shoot, just thinking about it, why could'nt just dis-connect the fuel return line and start the Bronco and fill the gas tank with the return fuel???? Just a thought.

it might help to cut the end of the hose at an angle when it hits the lip on the steel tube on the tank turn the hose so it goes over lip on tube.but i have never used a rubber credit card before.
Don't know what to tell ya, but appreciatte your response, very nice! I have a "94" F-150 with dual tanks, not a problem siphoning from it! Good luck you'll need it!
