ls, Others might disagree, but I would add as much new gas in with the old as I could get in, & fire it up without hesitation. It's not gonna take long to drive it out.

If it was 3-5 years old I would think differently.

Depends, if the tank is more than half full you may consider siphoning it and putting it back in slowly. The closer to full, the more I would hesitate to use it as is.

I've found you can pull the fuel line off at the pump and put it in a can, then blow into the tank to get it "primed". Make sure your hose from the pump is as low as you can get it, and it will usually drain out (siphon). Only a year old shouldn't be to bad yet, but I'd still try to get most of it out if you can. If not fill it clear to the top and try it, once it's down to half fill it up again.

I just started my 69-F250, it had been sitting for seven years. The gas tank was almost empty so I just added Five gallons of fresh gas with some Sea Foam additive. Checked the points and the plugs all looked good., primed it and started right up. I did add a new inline fuel filter to catch any junk from the tank.

I usually mix in as much new fuel as possible...Sometimes I might even buy a couple gallons of premium to bring the octane up.

The year old gas, is a little stale but is not bad gas. I bet you can drive the truck as is with no harm at all.

There have been times when I wasn't driving my truck much and the gas would be a year old. It would have been cranked and driven some but not enough to use up the gas.

I would say the opposite...the closer to full it is, the more likely that it's still good as a larger volume of gas deteriorates more slowly. I wouldn't worry about using gas that's only a year old in one of these old trucks, even with the crap they sell us that poses for gas out here in Ca.
