I lived outside of metropolis illinois for a few years, i grew up around these year model ford trucks, when i came across a guy in grand chain il with a 79 indy edition i jumped to make an offer, i bought the truck for $500, i found out later that it was a really rare truck. it had the 460 big block, and would freakin hual ***! when i went to move from illinois to springfield mo i had it stored at a tow company, who worked with a mechanic shop in il. it was stored with my 77 f150 4x4 that had 33in swampers, lift kit, and 350 mod, both trucks were stolen, and bodys were scrapped as far as i know. the owner of the mechanic shop had been drooling over both trucks for the motors and full drive train. if you take such trucks to a shop make sure it is a good shop with a good lengthy background!
I couldn't agree more, some guys need to realize when thier project is complete and move on to the next one.
Yeah, there used to be an old guy that lived near me. He drove an old mid-sixties Plymouth Belvedere station wagon. That thing must've had 1000's of toy figures glued to the hood and roof. It may have been "art" or "self-expression" to him but to everyone else it looked like c**p.
There is a guy near heave that has a early 90's Dodge truck, and an Olds Cutless that looks like the threw everything JC Witney had in the catalog on it. He seems to thing its sweet, but we all thing it looks like crap.
That Pace truck has some great qualities, like original paint and extremely low miles. It's pretty sweet but just needs some of the extra stuff taken off to make it sweet again.
