Dunno... I couldn't even find a registry. Btw. it wasn't a "Pace Truck"... it was the Official Truck of the race. The actual pace car was the then-new, Fox-chassis Mustang.
4,225 of them built. Probably about 1/3 that many left would be my guess. BUT... lots of them have lost their stripes etc and it would make them hard to identify. There are probably some folks who don't even know their truck is an Indy truck. I have owned three of them. I currently have two.

You're partially correct on your figures Dean. My Marti Report on my Indy truck also shows 4,225 built, but that number is only for the F-150. Since the Indy package was also available on the F-250, an unknown (but undoubtedly smaller) number of those were built also.
When I purchased my Indy truck a few months back, the sellers had no idea what it was. Some numb nuts prior owner rattle canned the whole truck flat black. I saw the interior, and the silver paint on the doors, and knew it was either a Freewheeling truck or an Indy truck, either one of which I would have bought. Mine is a 2wd with a 302 and AT, very few options.
Rich. I took pictures of that truck too. It's sitting in an apartment complex in Ozark. I was out "dent-spotting" one day. The truck looks to be in good shape over all.
Several years ago, there was what I thought was the deal of the year. A guy near Austin had a Pace car on a trailer behind a Pace truck for sale for $11K for the pair. My wife even gave me permission to buy the setup but I would've had to sell something else. I can't get rid of my babies.
