Information of these trucks are rather limited. Ford produced pace trucks and support trucks. They came with a factory roll bar in the bed and some stickers on the outside. Ford produced f100 and 150's with various engines including the 460 that was not normally produced in 1/2 ton trucks. The interior also had the grey/black/orange color scheme.

Here you go...Indy Ford F150 1979 Pace Trucks Information Pictures.
More interior pics....I do believe the actual one's are 2wd, 79 and 1/2 ton only. Had a roll bar and push bar, real hard to locate, push bar and door panels.

They also came in F-250. The Texaco distributorship I went to work for in '83 had one. The exterior graphics weren't ever put on it, but the rest of it was all Indy. I wanted to buy it when the owner sold it in '85 or so, but didn't have the cash. When he sold it, it left with the roll bar and cast aluminum wheels in the bed. I never knew the boss had kept them in a barn at his house.I think he had kept the graphics kit at home, too, just never had them put on.

I have an F-150 2wd Indy Truck, but they were available in many configurations. I know a gentleman with an F-250 2wd, and another gentleman who has had 4 of them, still has 2. I'm working on getting the decals reproduced, should have them in a couple of months. I will be doing them in the correct factory style, with the lettering separate and the die cuts matching the factory ones.

You would need to find a good upholstery shop to have them stitched up, but the correct material is available.
The VIN won't tell you it's an Indy truck, but the buck tag will. It's on the firewall, straight behind the carburetor, and it should have the word INDY stamped right on it.
If that tag is missing, your next best bet is to get a Marti Report:
https://www.martiauto.com/reports2.cfm
That will confirm if a truck has the Indy package, along with a ton of other information.
