if you ebay r12, youll come up with between $10 and $30 a pound, depending on can condition and stuff... DO NOT CONVERT IT TO R 134A!!! This makes the compresser run at very high pressure, and you might damage your awesome coke machine...

Brought home the beautiful Coke machine yesterday and man it is heavy. Tonight I pluged it in to see what exactley was wrong with it. Well it cools so no freon loss but the only problem is it doesn't stop cooling. It was on the lowest thermostat setting and I had to shut it off at 30 degrees so it didn't destroy itself. Apperentely I have got to replace the thermostat. I hope the overcooloing (overheating) didn't ruin anything.

Well if his electricity bill skyrockets and worse comes to worse, then after he fixes it he can sell for higher profit.

It'd be awesome to have a Coke machine in the garage, fill it up with my buddy wiser.

Replace the therostat. This too was a very common problem. The temp inside should be around 38 degrees. My first stop would be the local bottling company (pepsi, coca-cola) they all have vending departments. We used to sell a lot of parts to people.
