ChevronTexaco was renamed Chevron again after the Unocal aquisition. Like Shell (Pennzoil, Quaker State, Shell, Wolfs Head) the company has several lubricant brands - Chevron, Havoline/Texaco, Caltex (big in Asia). In any case, Chevron has nothing to do with the AAP "look alike" oil designed to misquide consumers (in my opinion) that it is "as good as" Havoline.
