Thanks for hanging in with me while I got the time to work on this. I pulled off the air hose and got a better look. The end of the hose was cleaner than I thought. I can feel no perceptable play in the endshaft. The vanes do look like they have gotten somewhat dusted. What do you guys think? Time for a WW after the 6637?
Edit: I forgot, the new pics are in the gallery...

Dusted or not, get the WW. It's a night and day difference if you are towing.
my god is that wicked wheel cool. both my mom and dad said it sounds like a jet taking off. and i fully agree. that is how i describe it. it is a very audible whine in the cab at 22 psi i was towing my dad's trailer today as an excuse to see what it would do. it is awesome, i was going up a steep hill at 55 mph and half pedal that the 6.0 would usually slow to below 50 mph. dad was jokingly saying "is that all this can do?" so i matted it and shut him up REEEALLL quick
While you're also at it, do the CCV mod. Do a quick search. It's real easy and will keep the oil away from the turbo and boots. With mine, I turned the doghouse around.
