I was driving down the road today until someone's ladder flew off his truck from the opposite direction and landed in the my lane. Fortunately, I avoided it but a bunch of dirt and rocks were kicked up and one piece appeared to
hit the bottom of my CAC putting a 2"x3" flat dent in 2 of the tubes. It looks like a rectangular imprint. The top and bottom of the dent looks a bit creased
How can I tell if it leaks? Can I simply put a dab of braze or solder on it to touch it up to prevent any leaks?
The CAC is aluminum, and I wouldn't braze or solder it unless you really know what you're doing. I know there is a procedure to check for leaks but it doesn't look to be something that would be easy to do at home.

This sucks
Three way's I see to test for leaks, one pressurize and check for pressure loss, draw a vacuum down on it and check for loss of vacuum, or take it to a good radiator shop and have them check it for you.
Choice one or two will require a few tools and a little ingenuity, the third choice a few rubles.
And I know the feeling, had the same thing happen to me, only I was lucky enough not to sustain damage to my truck, good luck.
I guess I'll wait a few hundred miles and see if there's any soot/oil buildup near the dent.
I have a mess of oil/soot on the rubber boot on top of the CAC presumably from some minor leak somewhere where it is slipped on. The dealer said that was normal :-(
