Question

ABS light

Hi gang, Is the abs light supposed to always be illuminated? Mine is always on? Also, sometimes i feel a little sponginess in the brake pedal?

No the ABS light sould not alway be on. Check the brake pads and brake shoes, they might be worn. Check the brake fluid also.

i am not sure if an obd scanner can pull brake codes but its worth a shot and if its not something obvious then somehow pull the code and it will tell whats wrong

Sponginess in the brakes would lead me to check the brake pads and shoes.

Do a quick check of the ABS fuse make sure its not burned out.

abs light

Speed sensor in your rear differential could be bad.Thats what caused my abs light to come on my 1999 Xlt.$25 buck part and easy to change
